January Summary

I spent some of January being ill but other things I did included:

I went on a tube walk from Lancaster Gate to Marble Arch. I visited Orleans Gallery (Madge Gill: Medium and Visionary) and the Stables Gallery (Richmond Printmakers: Points of view). I attended the Croydon Fun Weekend (including a tram walk, an architecture tour, eating chocolate and avocado mousse, patting a veteran oak tree, swinging from a tree, parrots squawking above, good views, interesting buildings). I ate kohlrabi, chestnuts, pain d'epice. I saw a beautiful sunset from the roof top of One New Change. I saw Ben Wilson in action, painting chewing gum. I drank a Dancing in the moonlight cocktail while gazing out over the Thames. I ate juniper and pine chocolate. I ate pierogi in a Polish restaurant where spies met. I organised a meeting of Computer Anonymous (not very west) and played Cards against Humanity, and made a Pac-Man ghost out of plasticine. I started Icelandic lessons. I wore a Nike Fuelband and reached my goal every day for the month. I hung out with a River God (in Richmond) and wandered around Richmond Park. I caught a glimpse of the Holly Man by the Thames. I went to the Kirkaldy Testing Museum and used a parachute testing machine. I wandered around Little Sanctuary and stroked a traffic light which wore a knitted cover. I stared at the reflection of the moon in a puddle and then could not resist jumping in the puddle, jumping on the moon. I used a light dependent resistor with an Arduino, and used Processing to make things happen. I held a UX scavenger hunt. I tasted black salt (from lava) and pink salt (from mud). I ate pineapple and inca berry chocolate, rosewater shortbread, a tamarillo.

Selected Twitter updates:

She thought the sky was full of thunder and banshees.

She still thinks that if she presses the sign with the name of the tower on it, the building will become hidden. "Hide Tower".

She noticed the giant ladybird on the side of a building that was covered with grass, just before it started to crawl across the sky.

He wore a stripey tie as a tail.
