Good list!

Have you been to the secret nuclear bunker?

The Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker? I have been there twice and enjoyed it.

I haven't been to the Hack Green bunker though, but Nantwich seems far away.

I would be up for doing some of the London things, although January is not the best time as I'm preparing two concerts, accounts for taxes and a a lot of other stuff -but, yeah...

I've played a wedding at the roof garden in the Barbican. It was an extraordinary setting and it was a half-Scottish girl and an Indian bridegroom, so half the male audience were in kilts and half the females were in sweet-wrapper-like colourful Indian dresses, plus the registrars seemed to be twins, two young black women with identical hair and suits. The gardens themselves are very worth the while seeing.

I keep trying to go to the Barbican roof gardens, but often when I get there, it seems to be closed for private events. I guess weddings perhaps then!

Any particular London things you're interested in?

There would be quite a list! But I cannot do the ones in January as I'm going to be busy preparing those two concerts and trying to keep my head above the water.

At a glance, Nos. 1, 2, 7,8,9, 10, 11, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 25 (again; last time,m as I said, I was rather busy..), 35, 37, 38, 40.... :)

I'll try to remember to bug you later in the year about some of them. :)

I've just this moment eaten a bánh mì! :)

'Twas good. Of course YMMV and I actually like the veggie, tofu one, a little less when I had it. It wasn't a first time, I have a tiny Vietnamese café next door to where I live, they're very friendly lovely people (even if they don't follow me back on twitter :P to them )

I think we find a lot of stuff through the same sources, so I don't have anything to add to your list, but I'd like to come along to some of these from yours:

1. The ArcelorMittel Orbit
2. Magical Lantern Festival (I posted about this on Facebook a day or two ago; do you have a particular day in mind?)
3. Lumiere London
5. Visit the Museum of Happiness and play in a ballpit (tinyastronomer and I booked this earlier, looks like Monday 18 Jan is the only day left right now)
13. I did the glass floor at Tower Bridge last year, it is rather great! You'll need your camera on manual-focus to take photos through it since there's a faint grid.
17. I've also seen Severndroog Castle before it opened to the public. Nearby Oxleas wood is very pretty.
18. I've swum in Hampstead ponds; they are very cold. Emily loves going back whenever possible though.
30. Eat a Bánh mì - sounds interesting, I love trying new food.
33. Emily took me Dans le Noir for my birthday a few years ago. I highly recommend it.

Things I already have planned/booked:
1. Attempt to escape from the Oubliette Escape Room -- see you there!

Kent:
4. Take a boat trip to the Maunsell sea forts -- they look awesome, whenabouts are you planning to go?

UK:
2. Climb to the top of Snowdon -- this is also on my list to do (along with Ben Nevis)
3. Visit Guernsey -- I have Sark on my list myself :)
5. Visit the Highlands -- camping in particular on my list. Maybe foolish :)

I'm not sure when for the lantern festival yet - maybe towards the end of February as it is my birthday then.

I booked tickets for the Saturday and Sunday for the Museum of Happiness as was feeling a bit indecisive. :) There seemed to be tickets left, unless I booked the wrong thing!

I'm a member of the Infrastructure Club and someone from there mentioned they might organise a trip to the forts and a wind farm. If that doesn't happen, I should definitely get around to organising something as it has been on my list for many years now!

Excellent list. Enjoy!

31. Climb through a fridge to get to the bar. (Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town).

I recently walked through a wardrobe into Narnia or, at least, the publican claimed it was Narnia and who am I to argue?

Through the wardrobe doors:

If you have a long memory then you might recall that I've visited Narnia before up the same road but behind the pub:

:-)

I have done quite a few of these things, but some I would like to do again! Let me know when you are planning on Barbican oasis, Hampstead ponds. I would also like to go to 2 Willow Rd, having helped students with a project on it but not been myself.
Also the Kent estuary and fort things.

We are going to EMF, and I think a few other spods are too. Mono encampment perhaps? I'm also up for Hampstead swimming. I've been meaning to do that for years. When the weather is good.

Thanks for the pointers to interesting things!

Let me know when you decide to visit Castleton; I haven't been down any of the caverns in a good few years, even though I visit the castle at least once most years.

Let me know if you every get around to doing UK #9 btw. I'm still very much there.
